James Leonard Downes, 67, of Carbondale, Illinois, passed away Tuesday December 11, 2018 in Integrity Health Care-Carbondale, Illinois at 3:30 pm.

Jim was born January 3, 1951 in Herrin Illinois to Henry Burr and Elsie (Hogg) Downes.  He was preceeded in death by his parents. 

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 am in Lakeview Cemetery-Johnston City, Illinois.  Friends were asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service.

Jim was a veteran of the US Army.  He raduated from  Gull Lake High School in Richland, Michigan with the class of 1969.
