I remember we were in a few classes together, not many but a few. Turned out we lived close to each, other across the road in fact but I didn’t know that at the beginning. Went our separate ways after grad and I only saw her twice; five and fifty years later. Never forgot her mind you. A lovely person, I’m glad I knew her.
This life is precious and fleeting. Pay attention.

Ann was amazing. We lived about an eighth of a mile apart. I met here when she was only a summer resident.
She was such great fun - eager to discover, so very bright. Both Ann and her sister Mary made many days happy days. Our claim to fame was finding a blue frog in Prairieville Creek. The Biological Station told us this wonderful specimen had been painted. If anyone of you know who committed this offense, let me know.
I treasure Ann. RIP, Dear Friend.

Ann was one of my favorite people in high school, even though I only went out with her a few times. Knew her and admired her generally from a distance. I always thought she was clearly very intelligent, attractive, and clever. Never saw her or kept up with her until the last class reunion, and so grateful for that experience. Sorry to hear this news, but I guess all good things must come to pass. This is the least fun thing about getting old(er).
