James Anglin

James Anglin

Jim passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 in France where he had lived for many years.  He was married but I haven't been able to find out if he had children.  Jim had an accident about three years ago that caused a severe head injury.  (That could be the reason he never responded to emails regarding the 50th reunion).  Since that time he had several strokes and a fall.  He died of pneumonia that might have been a result of Covid-19.  He was on life support for three weeks prior to his death according to his brother Bob.  The family no longer lives in the area and is spread througout the United States.  For this reason, it is not clear if there will be an Obituary posted.  I am sure everyone has a special fond memory of Jim.  Our class was honored by his achievements.  A banner with Jim's name and our class year currently hangs in the GLHS gymnasium.  Jim held a long standing state and GLHS track record.

On May 12, 2021 we received a notification from Sophie Anglin regarding Jim's passing.  The subject line said, "some wrong details about his last moments"

Sophie stated, "I was his wife for 36 years, I am French, and we were living very happy in Paris (France).  He was a successful language teacher and a passonate photographer when he retired.  He had an injury on his head, but he died from mesenteric infarctus.
